Restless Evening
I slept fitfully last night, as my dreams bode premonitions of the end to my Julius' existence! How awful it was to wake in a hot, hot sweat in a bed empty of my husband. I tore through our rooms to assure myself that the dream had not come to fruition and begged my beloved to stay within our walls. I insisted that he stay with me, be he refused to believe my warnings. Although I know he dislikes my superstition and wants nothing to do with my interpretation of various dreams and signs that I encounter throughout the day, I admitted to knowing of the omen set forth by ghosts roaming the city that very day. I told him of the lightning cracking through the skies and dead men walking through the streets below, but he refused to believe that the signs indicated danger for him alone. In an attempt to convince him, I stressed that the heavens only proclaim the death of great men and since he is such a man, the signs must have been aimed the great Julius Caesar. After hearing news that no heart was found within the entrails of an animal, he decided it best to stay indoors, away from the coming danger. I do hope he stays within these walls.
